Brian Kidd hit out at former Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor after he claimed that the Premier League champions crack under pressure.
The Tottenham forward said that his former side lack self-control and become argumentative when things do not go their way, and that Spurs can take advantage of that mental fragility to beat them on Sunday at White Hart Lane.
However, City s assistant manager Kidd has pointed out that Adebayor has not been at the club to see the change from a side challenging for a top-four spot to one that has won the Premier League title.
With respect to Ade, he has not been around for the last couple of years and the boss has put silver on the sideboard in that time. So I hope they carry on fighting and arguing, Kidd said.
If you want a fight and a confrontation, you can have it every day in a football club. You have only to look at the manager and the squad of players they don t like losing.
Adebayor joined Tottenham in the summer on a permanent deal, after spending the second half of the 2010-11 season at Real Madrid, followed by a season-long loan at White Hart Lane last year.
