Milan 3-0 Spezia: Leao brace helps Rossoneri stay perfect

Milan extended their 100 per cent start to the Serie A season with a 3-0 win over newly-promoted Spezia at San Siro on Sunday.

Six players kept their places after Thursday s penalty shoot-out win over Rio Ave in the Europa League, and a lack of freshness was apparent in the first half, with Milan struggling to break down their less illustrious opponents.

They looked sharper at the start of the second period, though, and duly went ahead shortly before the hour mark when Rafael Leao prodded home from close range.

Theo Hernandez added a second in the 76th minute before Leao made sure of all three points with another predatory strike two minutes later, as Milan made it three wins from three.

Sanchez proud of Corinthians legacy

Outgoing Corinthians president Andres Sanchez says the club has the potential to compete with Europe s heavyweights following his tenure.

Sanchez, 47, has completed his four-year term as head of the Sao Paulo giants and will not seek re-election.

He will officially step down on December 15, after which vice president Roberto de Andrade will replace him until the 2012 elections.

Sanchez believes his dynamic leadership means Corinthians will soon start to challenge European clubs on a financial and organisational level.

We are going to be one of the best-structured and richest clubs in the world, he told Globoesporte.

I never promised titles, I promised to rebuild the club I feel fulfilled and I am leaving with my head held high and with the beli…

Robinho agent confident of Santos move

Robinho s agent Marisa Ramos is confident that a move to Santos will go through in the near future.

Reports have linked the Brazilian with a move away from San Siro, and MLS outfit Orlando City were thought to be among the favourites to secure the forward s services.

Last month Ramos stated it was unlikely that Robinho would remain at Milan, and on Thursday he claimed the 30-year-old was nearing a return to Santos.

It would represent a third spell at the club for the attacker, who began his career at Santos, before a brief loan spell there in 2010 from parent club Manchester City.

This possibility is true, Ramos told UOL Esporte.

[It] depends on [when the] TMS [Transfer Matching System] is released, the system of FIFA.

Hoffenheim hopeful on Volland, Firmino futures

Lutz Pfannenstiel is confident Hoffenheim can keep talented pair Kevin Volland and Roberto Firmino at the Rhein-Neckar Arena.

Hoffenheim s head of international relations and scouting hopes the club can hang onto star names such as Kevin Volland and Roberto Firmino despite apparent interest from some of Europe s top clubs.

The pair have regularly been linked with moves abroad during recent seasons, with Brazilian midfielder Firmino having been a reported target for Premier League club Liverpool and Italian giants Juventus.

Volland s form since arriving from 1860 Munich in 2011 has helped him earn a breakthrough into the German national side, while Firmino has also been rewarded with a place in Brazil s squad during recent seasons.

Control 2 Has a €50 Million Development Budget, FBC: Firebreak’s Budget is €30 Million

Ballooning development budgets are one of the AAA games industry’s biggest issues at present, though certain developers manage to find ways to develop consistently high-quality titles on fairly reasonable budgets. Remedy Entertainment is one of the most prominent studios in that group, and it looks like it’s looking to accomplish something similar with the upcoming Control 2.

During its recent Capital Day Markets 2024 presentation, Remedy Entertainment revealed that Control 2 is being developed on a budget of about €50 million. According to the studio, the sequel, which it has confirmed is going to be an action RPG, will need to sell about 3-4 million units for Remedy to double its investment in the production. Caen relegated to Ligue 2 as Dijon book play-off

Two goals in four minutes saw Dijon consign Caen to relegation and take the play-off spot on the final day of the Ligue 1 season on Friday.

Naim Sliti and Julio Tavares scored in quick succession as Dijon overturned a half-time deficit to beat Toulouse 2-1 and move onto 34 points.

Caen were left a point adrift after Younousse Sankhare earned Bordeaux a 1-0 victory on the north coast, meaning Dijon will take on Ligue 2 side Lens for a place in the top flight next season.

Lens forced their way into contention with three straight victories to finish fifth in the second tier, before winning a pair of knockout matches to earn the right to face Dijon.

Villarreal eye Aleksandar Mitrovic

According to , Villarreal are considering a January swoop for Fulham s Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The 27-year-old striker has been on incredible form this season, with 26 goal involvements (21 goals, five assists) in just 18 Championship matches for his club. At rate he s going, he is set to break the goal record for a single campaign in the English second tier by the end of January.

Mitrovic is also Serbia s all-time leading scorer with 44 strikes, and his contribution to their cause has become set in stone following his late winner against Portugal this month which secured his country a place at the World Cup in Qatar next year.

Villarreal are apparently prepared to pay €16 million for his services this winter, but it remains to be seen if Fulham will be open to a…
